An intense, deep garnet red colour with ruby shades is the sign that a great evolution is expected. Perfectly brilliant, the rivulets of legs and tears coursing the sides of the glass indicate full body, structure and a good alcohol content.
The bouquet is austere, noble, full, expansive and lingering. The robust yet restrained sensations of oak are perceptible and notes of mature fruit and fragrance of alpine flowers complete the nose. A subtle presence of resin brings sweet spice tones and peach leaves to the fore.
At a first taste, the initial sensation of intense warmness gives way to the agreeable, sweet-tending tannins. The sapidity is typical of the terroir. Perfumes and sensations already perceived through the nose are amplified and confirmed into the mouth. Fine structure, harmony and balance - combined with lingering aroma and complexity - are the premises of a great longevity.
